Cornell Bioacoustics Research Program
EOM works with the Bioacoustics Research Program (BRP), a unit within the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. BRP develops digital recording equipment, computer software, and algorithms that are used to track whales by studying their communications through the use of EOM mooring systems. The Right Whale Listening Network within BRP has a full time team dedicated to listening and analyzing Right Whale and other marine animal sounds in order to properly inform shipping traffic of marine animal presence in a timely manner.
