EOM Offshore's mooring components and systems enable a broad spectrum of ocean sensing missions, providing reliable power and data connectivity through the air-sea interface and all the way to the seafloor.

EOM Offshore also can provide field operations, maintenance, and logistics services in support of complete mooring projects.

Mooring Component Products
Universal Joint

Mooring Component Products
Stretch Hose Technology

  • Stretch hoses elongate to over twice their original length in normal service

  • Isolate moorings from surface buoy heave motions

  • Minimize snap loads in shallow water moorings

  • Replace chain catenary moorings for shallow applications

  • Terminated with standard bolt flanges to eliminate moving parts at connections

  • Enable quiet moorings for passive acoustic applications

  • Bending strain relief built in to terminations

  • Minimize surface buoy watch circle

  • Ideal for sensitive environments such as coral reefs

  • Electrical conductors provide a pathway for power and data

  • Standard sizes and electrical conductor configurations, including Ethernet

  • Custom strengths and lengths available

  • Electrical conductor configurations available

Anchor Recovery System

  • The EOM Anchor Recovery system incorporates a line spool at the mooring's acoustic release, enabling haulback of the anchor

  • When the release is triggered, a line attached to the anchor pays out from the line spool as the bottom of the mooring is brought to the surface

  • Synthetic line of sufficient strength and length is loaded on the spool at EOM using a careful process to prevent fouling

  • Anchor Recovery saves operational funds by re-using deadweight anchors.  In some applications enviornmental permitting requirements may dictate anchor recovery.
